LMS & eLearning
Learning Management System (LMS)
The simplest way to deliver e-learning and face-to-face training.
The learning management system (LMS) module is a sophisticated eLearning system that delivers learning in an interactive and engaging manner. It is rich in features and fully customisable.
ProTRACK’s LMS module is SCORM compliant, meaning it meets the standards and specifications for web-based learning originally set by the Office of United States Secretary of Defence.
Centralise and automate learning administration.
Whether you’re running e-learning or face-to-face training, the LMS module makes learning activities simple to manage. The LMS module gives you the functionality to create, edit and delete online courses. You can create and manage seminars and conferences, enabling members to register and make payments. The LMS module facilitates members’ enrolment into courses and their attendance too.
Communication with your members throughout the learning process can be managed within the LMS module. You can create news items, automate announcements to large groups or write a message for an individual member.
Managing learning in one web-based space means you will reduce paperwork, duplication and administrative processes from the learning process. And with all the information and data in one centralised system, it’s easy to find what you’re looking for and see statistics and trends on learning data. Generate the reports you need, such as learners’ progress on activities, including assessment score and number of attempts.
Make it easy for your members to access learning resources.
The LMS module will enable your members to manage and participate in courses online, including using their smart phones or tablet devices. Members can search for and enrol in courses and events. Only relevant courses will be visible to eligible members. Members can also view news, messages and announcements, participate in forums, receive training feedback and download resources from the library. ProTRACK’s modules can all be linked, so your members only have one interface and one log in. Everything they need will be accessible via one custom-designed website.
Integrate the LMS module with your other digital platforms.
By linking the LMS module with ProTRACK’s training and continuing professional development (CPD) modules you and your members will benefit from a fully integrated learning platform. Information about your members will be automatically updated with across systems; for example, when a member completes an e-learning course in the LMS, credit points will be automatically updated in the ProTRACK CPD module.
Make learning and training easy for you and for your members.
The LMS module will:
- Enable your members to learn online.
- Centralise your learning processes into one online space.
- Provide an easy way to manage enrolment in both online and face-to-face training.
- Help you communicate better with your members (see also social networking).

Adaptive Learning
Determining growth in learning can be monitored through questions calibrated on a common scale. It is for example wrong to claim that a learner’s performance has increased if scores from one year to the next are compared without further information. For example, if a Year 7 student had a final mark of 70% in mathematics and then scored 80% in Year 8, one cannot claim that there was an increase in performance. The curriculum, the teacher, the difficulties of the tests and many other factors could have influenced the performance. However, if the questions of the tests were located on a common scale and the relative difficulties of the questions were known, the relative performance in the two tests can be determined. In this way the “real” growth can be determined. Such assessment requires the calibration and linking of the questions on a common scale. We have the knowledge and experience to construct such scales and monitor individuals or groups of people.
This methodology can also be used for “mastery learning”. A learner can be monitored and when a certain level of performance has been achieved, the learner can be directed to a higher level. This makes progress at an individual’s own pace possible.
